In Frankfurt, Germany, more than 30 individuals were arrested following clashes between supporters of English club West Ham and local team Eintracht Frankfurt before their Europa League match. The Frankfurt police had to intervene at several locations due to fights between rival fans or fans looking for confrontation. They managed to stop a major altercation around the main train station, where up to 1,000 visiting supporters, including those considered high-risk, were registered before the game. Despite police intervention, there were physical attacks, with two visiting supporters being hospitalized after an attack by Frankfurt fans.

Additionally, there were violent clashes in France between supporters of Marseille and Feyenoord outside the Stade Velodrome stadium before their Europa Conference League semifinal. Video footage showed instances of violence, including a Marseille fan lying unconscious on the ground and groups charging at each other outside the stadium. The French seaport has witnessed previous violent clashes between fans, leading to increased security measures for the match.

In Marseille, there were 20 arrests following sporadic fights around the port and its surrounding streets the night before the game. Despite Feyenoord fans having a significant presence, additional fans were anticipated to arrive without tickets, making the match high-risk in terms of security. Large groups of Feyenoord supporters were transported to the stadium in designated buses, following past incidents of clashes between fans and authorities.

Due to previous incidents of violence involving PAOK and Marseille fans, UEFA closed one end of the Stade Velodrome for the visit of Feyenoord, as a precautionary measure. Feyenoord has a reputation for having an active hooligan element in Dutch soccer, with reports of clashes with Dutch police during a riot against COVID-19 restrictions. The match between Marseille and Feyenoord was not without its incidents, as riot police had to intervene when some Feyenoord fans threw flares onto the field.
